The quarry was abandoned many years ago, and it had become an unsightly eyesore. We decided to reclaim the land and transform it into a coffee farm.
In 2022 we began with the careful planting of our first crop using drip irrigation. This innovative method allowed us to efficiently manage water resources, ensuring that each coffee plant received the precise amount of moisture needed to thrive. By starting with drip irrigation, we laid the foundation for a sustainable and productive farm, setting the stage for growing the finest organic Kenyan coffee.
In 2023, KiQwetu Coffee Farm celebrated its first harvest, marking a significant milestone in our journey. The culmination of hard work and sustainable practices, this harvest yielded the finest organic Kenyan coffee, rich in flavor and rooted in our revitalized land. Each bean from this inaugural crop represents the success of our vision to transform a former quarry into a thriving coffee farm.
